It works its way into the board and hydrates it, which helps prevent it from drying out and cracking over time. Once applied, it also acts as a barrier against additional moisture that can make its way into the board, which can cause warping.

Apply Mineral Oil to your cutting boards each month, or every 2-3 weeks if the cutting board is used daily and frequently.
